So they gave this movie a shot.) Thus an evil killer step dad called David was created for our entertainment. When you get a load of David in ‘The Stepfather’, you will forget all about the stepmother’s screen reputation. That’s why this movie is a pleasant thriller remake!

David in ‘The Stepfather’ is serene, gentle and all smiles (only on the outside). He meets this woman by the name of Susan in a supermarket. Susan (who is beautiful and divorced) thinks that David is the perfect man for her. So without any delays, she shifts her thoughts onto him about getting married. As far as the true identity of David is concerned, he is nothing like what he projects himself to be. Now that is part of his seasonal plan… - Hopping from place to place, luring single housewives with children and then killing them all.

David has the same intentions with Susan and her family. All he actually thinks about is slicing and dicing them up. But as Susan is thoroughly charmed by him, no negative remarks about David seem to make her realize that he’s a killer. Will her family be saved from David’s evil clutches?

The Stepfather vs. The 1980 Thriller

There are some who have been stressing on the fact that The Stepfather will not be a good flick because it is a remake. Well, this cannot be a good enough reason to condemn this movie. After all, the makers of this film have demonstrated their share of effort by giving us a healthy combination of a horror and a mystical thriller. Watch The Stepfather Trailer if you haven’t got a glimpse of the movie yet.

This movie sure looks like the typical 1980’s thriller plot. But the difference between The Stepfather and the other old movies is that the killer a.k.a. the stepfather, lives in the house and not as the neighbour or somebody else. This idea takes off very well and this is what will make the film a success in the Middle East. ‘The Stepfather’ will be releasing on the 10^th of December, 09 in UAE.
